Local wasp control technician with a ladder outside an Oxfordshire cottage

About us

A local, family-run wasp exterminator — not a national call centre.

When you ring us, you speak to the technician who will be standing at your door — not a scheduling agent three counties away. We live and work in Oxfordshire, and we only do one thing: wasp and hornet nests.

We cover Oxford, Abingdon, Banbury, Bicester, Didcot, Witney, Wallingford, Thame, Wantage, Kidlington, Carterton and Henley-on-Thames, plus every village in between. Most jobs are treated the same day, and we quote a fixed price before we set off.

Every technician is PA1/PA6 certified and fully insured, using professional products that are unavailable over the counter — which is why a treatment that takes us twenty minutes usually beats three weekends of DIY.

What we do

Wasp specialists, all summer, all of Oxfordshire.

Wasp Nest Removal & Treatment

Lofts, eaves, soffits, wall cavities, sheds and underground nests treated with professional insecticide and left inactive within hours.

Hornet Nest Removal

European hornets need a bigger exclusion zone and a calmer approach. We treat them safely without disturbing the surrounding property.

Emergency Same-Day Exterminator

Nest over a doorway, near children or blocking access? Call before mid-afternoon and we will usually be with you the same day.

Commercial Wasp Pest Control

Pubs, schools, care homes, farms and warehouses. Discreet visits, full treatment records and out-of-hours slots on request.

Identification — Wasps, Hornets or Bees?

Send a photo on WhatsApp. If it turns out to be honeybees or bumblebees, we tell you straight and point you to a local beekeeper.

Why choose us

Six reasons Oxfordshire keeps our number.

Genuinely local

Based in Oxfordshire, working Oxfordshire. We know which villages hide their nests in stone gable ends.

Specialists, not generalists

We don't do rats, moles or bedbugs. Wasps and hornets, every day of the season.

Properly licensed

PA1 and PA6 certified, insured to £5m, using products the DIY shops can't sell you.

Transparent pricing

From £99 all-in. The price you're quoted on the phone is the price you pay.

Free revisit guarantee

If any activity remains after treatment, we return and re-treat free of charge.

We answer the phone

A real technician picks up — evenings and weekends included through the season.

Identification

Where wasps nest — and what to look for.

Not sure where the nest actually is? Ninety percent of Oxfordshire jobs fall into one of these seven places. Find the entry point and we can usually quote over the phone.

Large papery wasp nest attached to rafters in a loft roof void

Loft & roof voids

Steady traffic at a gap in the tiles or ridge; a dry rustling sound above the ceiling.

Eaves & soffits

Wasps disappearing under the fascia board, often on the sunniest side of the house.

Wall cavities

A single hole in the mortar with a constant in-and-out stream from May onwards.

Gardens & underground

Wasps pouring from a bank, old mouse hole or compost heap — common near mowing lines.

Sheds & summer houses

Grey papery nest hanging from a rafter, often the size of a football by August.

Garages & outbuildings

Nest behind stored boxes or in roof insulation; wasps entering under the up-and-over door.

Trees & hedgerows

Exposed spherical nest in dense hedging — easily disturbed by trimming.

The wasp year

Wasp season in Oxfordshire, month by month.

1

May – June

Queens build

Nests are golf-ball sized and easy to treat. The cheapest, calmest time to deal with one.

2

July – August

Peak activity

Colonies hit thousands of workers. Most call-outs happen now — and nests are at their most defensive.

3

September – October

Aggressive stage

Workers switch to sugar, get bolder around bins and pub gardens, and sting far more readily.

4

November – April

Dormant

Old nests die off and are never reused, but loft nests are worth removing before spring queens return nearby.

FAQ

Questions we get asked every week.

A note on bees

We never treat bees unnecessarily.

Honeybees, bumblebees and solitary bees are protected pollinators, and most of what people call a "bee nest" is either harmless or better relocated. If we arrive and find bees rather than wasps, we stop, explain what you're actually dealing with, and put you in touch with a local beekeeper or swarm collector. No treatment, no charge for the visit.
