What wasp nest removal actually costs in Oxfordshire

Councils, national firms, and us

Oxfordshire's district councils vary hugely in what pest control they still offer. Some have withdrawn from wasp treatments altogether; others offer a service but with a longer wait and a price that isn't necessarily lower once you account for delays. National pest control chains often quote a low headline figure that rises once an "inspection" is added, or a call-out charge is applied regardless of outcome.

The powder does not reach the nest, the wasps get angry, and within hours the customer has dozens — sometimes hundreds — of wasps swarming inside the house for days.

By the time we arrive the original nest is still active, the wasps have found new routes into the rooms, and the cleanup costs more than a straightforward treatment would have. That is why the cheapest upfront price is rarely the cheapest overall price.
